I love...love....love to do fabric transfers. There is just something so cool about pulling that paper off of the fabric and seeing if you've gotten a clear print. I could do it all day. Here is a tutorial of a fabric transfer. You will need some gel medium, I prefer Golden brand. I think it makes a better image. Print off an image on an inkjet printer. I like to use muslin or cotton material for my substrat. View this photo
Spread some gel medium onto the fabric a little larger than the printed image.
Place the image face down onto the gel and burnish with the back of a spoon or smooth object. Make sure the image has made good contact with the fabric. Wait about 15 seconds or so then gently peel the paper off of the fabric to reveal the image. Some of the white paper may stay on the image. You can wait till it dries some and wet your finger and gently rub the white paper off. After the image dries, I like to paint a coat of gel medium over the top of the image to seal it. And voila!! A perfect, or sometime not so perfect (which can be nice too), image to use on your next project. Thanks for watching!!! Marla
